From her book Until We Meet Again, R. Clift writes a poem while in Madrid, Spain about finding yourself again, being present, and letting go. It's a beautiful travel poem with a doodle of Urbino, Italy printed on handmade paper.
She writes, "I am finding wonder in this life once more. In the cold night air that blows the curtains wildly around the room, hearing languages I don't understand, sharing endearing moments with strangers that I will never see again. This place reminds me what it is like to feel alive in every beating moment. Here, I will learn how to be present. I will learn how to be satisfied. I will learn how to fall madly in love with every detail. And I will learn how to let it all go."
This poem would be perfect for someone recovering from a hard time, a solo traveler, or anyone learning to let go.
The words are printed in a typewriter font on handmade cotton rag paper with deckle edges. The color of the paper is a natural, unbleached white but may occasionally have tiny speckles of random color from other fibers mixed in. Size varies slightly because of the imperfect nature of handmade paper, but will be roughly 5" x 7", 8" x 10", or 11" x 14" based on your selection.
