Rare 1900 Don Quixote Book

$350.00

Rare antique 1900 Don Quixote of the Mancha book retold by Judge Parry and illustrated by Walter Crane. This is a London Blackie & Son Limited Edition book with a stunning gold gilt spine. The hardback (leather?) front and back covers are a blue color, spine appears more black. End of pages are marbled and the color illustrations within are truly stunning.

Don Quixote portrays the life and journey of Don Quixote de la Mancha, a Spanish man who seems to be losing his mind on his quest to become a knight and restore chivalry alongside a farmer named Sancho Panza, with whom he fights multiple imaginary enemies and faces a series of fantastic challenges.

There is wear/bumping/scratches/chipping and discoloration to the cover, spine, and pages due to age. Book measures about 8.75" x 6". Please note that photos may appear brighter than actual book.
