1968 Cape Cod book by Henry David Thoreau. This book has a beautiful green, white, and beige cover showing a beach town with a slip cover showing lighthouses.
This book includes Thoreau's recorded adventures including chapters on The Shipwreck, Stage-Coach Views, The Plains of Nauset, The Beach, The Wellfleet Oysterman, The Beach Again, Across the Cape, The Highland Light, The Sea and the Desert, and Provincetown. There are lovely black and white images throughout the book, as well a map of Cape Cod on the inside covers.
This is a Heritage Press edition from the Heritage Club. There is minor wear and discoloration/spotting on the cover, pages, and spine due to age, but overall this book is still in good condition. Book in slip cover measures about 10.5" x 7". A great coffee table book!
