In this book, Thoreau reflects on simple living in natural surroundings. The work is part personal declaration of independence, social experiment, voyage of spiritual discovery, satire, and—to some degree—a manual for self-reliance. There are also other writings in this book like A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers and Cape Cod.
Cover is a green-ish color with gold writing. There is minor wear and discoloration on the cover, pages, and spine due to age, but overall this book is still in good condition with all pages in tact. Book measures about 7" x 5". Please note that photos may appear brighter than actual book.
