Rare antique Through the Looking Glass (and What Alice Found There) book by Lewis Carroll. This book has a gorgeous Henry Altemus cover with green and gold floral gilt and an image of a house overlooking a lake with canoes. There are also many black and white illustrations within.
Written as a sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass describes Alice's further adventures as she moves through a mirror into another unreal world. This also includes famous characters like Humpty Dumpty and Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
There is no publish date in this book, but there is an inscription from 1903. There is wear and discoloration to the cover, spine, and pages due to age. I also think there might be an intro page missing where usually the author is pictured or copyright is printed. Book measures about 6.25" x 4.25". Photos may appear brighter than actual book.
