Dear friend,
I’m Alison Rose, owner of Alison Rose Vintage. I define myself as an old soul with a generous heart. I’m deeply passionate about words and giving. I’ve been a lover of words for as long as I can remember—majoring in English in college, collecting stationery, and writing letters to friends and family since I was 11 years old.
Words can mean much more to us than a dictionary definition—it’s the people and experiences we attach to words that give them their deeper meanings. With this in mind, I began writing my own whimsical definitions for words and printing them on beautiful handmade paper and cardstock. I later added quotes, poems, and antique books.
The goal of my Alison Rose Vintage shop is to spread love and hope, giving you a way to express your love, gratitude, or sorrow while encouraging, inspiring, and comforting others.
My sister, Amanda, died unexpectedly in 2020 which led me to leave my corporate job and pursue this business full-time. When we were going through her belongings, we came across a giant box of every letter and card anyone ever sent her—including all of the ones I sent to her over the years. It reminded me that people truly appreciate receiving these little pieces of love, and they hold onto them. This fuels my passion for making cards and prints that I know will be cherished by your loved ones for many years to come.
Alison Rose Vintage is a one woman shop, but I also get assistance from my parents and our two dogs. Shiloh is my Chief Cuteness Officer and Max is my Head of Security. He alerts me when USPS, UPS, or FedEx are at the house and sniffs every package to make sure it's safe.
I'm originally from West Virginia, lived in Ohio and Massachusetts for many years, and I now reside in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
I love to snuggle Shiloh, read non-fiction and poetry, volunteer, donate to meaningful causes, shop for antiques, and explore beautiful places.
