Rare antique 1800s Tales from Shakespeare book by Charles & Mary Lamb. This has a stunning gold gilt, black, and creamy beige floral cover--perfect as a wedding photo prop or gift. There are also beautiful illustrations throughout the book.
The book includes such tales as Romeo and Juliet, Othello, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, The Winter's Tale, and many more.
There is no publication date, but there is an inscription from Dec 25th, 1896. There is wear and discoloration on the cover, spine, and pages due to age, the title page is torn (pictured), and the back cover is loosening from the spine. The book measures about 8" x 5.25" x 1".
